Started when I was in Paris in the 50s and fell in love with them; baguette baking got to be a weekly ritual continued all these years. I Perfected the recipe over the years so that it produces a pretty great accompaniment to every day's feasting - in fact, it contributes to that sense of feasting that transforms the ordinary meal and day.

Also, perfected pans to easily bake these babies in, and do so ad libitum!  Designed to accommodate three loaves, I use two pans the width of a large oven to produce six at a time. Enough to allow eating a couple as they come out of the oven and freezing the rest to last all week. The fascination has gone to the extent of conjuring up a BAGUETTES UNLIMITED business that I've shaped and have almost launched for real!

Wanting to share this delight, and being into empowerment (see my organizational functioning page), it's a business that would teach the world to bake baguettes!  It offers a kit comprising the pans, the recipe, basic tools, and pointers on using baguettes in various ways.  Have had a lot of fun with shaping this business idea (usually have done it as a birthday treat) and am approaching launching the business.  Any baguette lovers out there - please Send me an e-mail and check up on the status of this launch!
